ALLEGORY OF ART NOUVEAU
One of the most striking and unusual projects was an apartment with a spectacular and eclectic interior. For his daughter and her young family, the customer purchased an apartment with an area of 170 sq. m., which was to be designed by AMMG designers. The main wish expressed at the first meeting was the use of a catchy, but complex and noble color scheme and non-standard combinations of materials. Pure styles did not suit the client – minimalistic modern interiors seemed boring and lifeless, classical canons did not combine with the complex geometry of space and modern art. In the process of creative searches, a metaphor of a theatrical stage was born, where a shell decorated with plaster stucco acts as static scenery, inside which "actors" — furniture and designer light — can transform and perform effectively, changing the impression and mood depending on the "scene"-the room. Within the framework of one space, it was possible to harmoniously combine complex, almost baroque ceiling rosettes and deliberately large-scale cornices, collectible light, author's furniture, and non-standard finishes.
The center of the large living room is a modular sea-green sofa in company with an Eichholtz cage chair in gold trim. The yellow metal theme continues in the famous Agnes chandeliers from Roll&Hill and is supported by the Delightfull wall sconces. Opposite the sofa, an author's composition of gray marble with brass sections was placed, in the model of which a glass strip with integrated TV was built in; behind the sofa there is an elegant console and a sliding graphic partition leading to the kitchen – it is decorated even more elegantly. In the center is a round table for 6 people on a brass support, the theme of yellow metal runs through the entire apartment. The kitchen set is designed according to an individual project, on the wall behind the furniture there is a print on glass based on the designer Yana Svetlova. The same print continues the top row of hanging cabinets, only here it is already matte, as if dusted; textiles on the window and furniture on the opposite wall introduce a new, lilac shade, which in combination with the greenery of the wall behind the kitchen sounds especially bright. The composition of the kitchen is crowned by a powerful stucco cornice resting on the side cabinets and together with them it seems to formalize a portal around the theater stage.
In the master bedroom, the combination of additional colors — blue-green and purple — is further developed; but, unlike the kitchen, here they are slightly muted and diluted with neutral gray. Together with the dark gray wall behind the headboard, this creates a calm and relaxed atmosphere, while not devoid of mystery. "It was important for us to create a ceremonial, ringing and bright mood in the kitchen," says Ekaterina, the project designer, "in the bedroom we wanted to create a more charming, mysterious and cozy atmosphere." Olive parquet was laid on the floor, which stands out with an intricate pattern of veins, the Indian handmade carpet gives softness. Suspensions made in the form of classical chandeliers enclosed in a shell in the form of an incandescent bulb add an ironic mood and support the overall theatrical vibe. The composition is completed by a soft headboard with a dynamic pattern, seemingly endlessly continuing into the space of the looking glass. The children's rooms and the study continue and maintain the calm atmosphere of the bedroom; but perhaps the most mystical is the guest bathroom. The unusual effect of a kinetic, moving wall was achieved with the help of a thoughtful layout of black and white square tiles, framed with smoky green prints with imitation malachite enhances the visual effect.
