Grape house
The total area of the apartment is 78 sq.m. The difficulty of working with the layout was that the space was cut across by 2 load–bearing walls, the location of which could not be changed – this determined the configuration of the premises. Initially, it was decided to remove the dark and narrow corridor separating the hallway from the living room with the help of design techniques, increasing the total space and letting daylight into the farthest points of the apartment.
An office was located on the site of a separate kitchen – this is allowed by regulations, since the office, according to local regulations, does not belong to a living room. The kitchen was moved into the living room space, closer to the front door, pushing the lower part of the cabinets cantilevered into the hallway and thereby zoning the space. Daylight was "let in" to the bathrooms through a glass insert in the study and a glass door in the bedroom.
The style of the apartment can be described as "soft minimalism". The laconic geometry of the forming elements is successfully set off by warm finishing materials – beige travertine on the floor, American walnut in furniture designs, a warm gray sofa, coffee wall panels in the bedroom. In the living room, the main accent was a wall with a TV – it is united by a complex joiner's construction, whose broken geometric shapes collect space. At the same time, the design is functional – three-dimensional drawers are located at the bottom, and a sliding panel allows you to close the TV. The kitchen solution is also unusual – the lower block of drawers is placed by a console in the hallway area, and the upper cabinets are narrow and hidden behind an upward-sliding panel; at the same time, when the panel is open, the depth of the work surface increases. The wall adjacent to the kitchen is mirrored and creates the effect of doubling the kitchen. Behind the sofa, ORIGAMI hexagonal lamps create a decorative accent and are repeated in the form of hanging lampshades.
The "theme" of the living room continues in the study. The working area is designed as a continuation of the television, but shades of deep blue are introduced into the color scheme, setting up a working mood. Art from Zaria Forman and pendant lamps with gold edging add elegance and a sense of luxury. One of the most interesting elements of the apartment's design was the bedroom wall, which turns around the corner into the bathroom wall. It is solved by means of parametric design with elements of fractal geometry. The wall panels are made in the form of lozenges of different scales, finished with walnut veneer and mirror inserts. At the same time, the number of mirrors is minimal on the left, and increases when moving to the right towards the bathroom, reaching a maximum in the bathroom itself and performing the functions of a cosmetic mirror.
Do not forget about the functionality – some of the panels open and turn into spacious storage systems. The wardrobe is open, and is covered with a curtain, which, if necessary, is also covered with a glass door to the bathroom. The bathroom itself is more resolved in a more contrasting way – to the already existing colors of white granite and wood on the floor, a deep black color of marble on the end wall is added, against which the forms of modern plumbing stand out more clearly. The second, guest bathroom is made in softer, coffee shades and stands out with an unusual relief tile, the pattern of which is also based on the fractal structure.
