ODINBURG LANDSCAPE
By order of AFI Development, AMMG architects have developed a concept and working drawings for the improvement of the territory of the Odinburg residential Complex. The main requirement for the landscaping concept was the creation of a modern and organic yard-garden space located next to the territory of the city forest park and the embankment of the Samenka River. The ensemble of landscaping begins with the landscaped terraced roof of the entrance ramp of the underground parking lot, located between two residential towers of identical architecture. The roof space is designed in the form of a stepped amphitheater with seating areas, decorative flowerpots with blue rhododendron plantings and a podium-stage for leisure and street events of the local neighborhood community.
The ramp pavilion is "buried" in vertical landscaping of decorative ivy vines wrapping around the side walls. The center of attraction for residents is a quiet recreation area with a canopy-pergola, designed in the form of a large fold of wooden perforated triangular segments on openwork supports. Sitting on a suspended swing, parents can hide from the scorching sun or rain and freely watch children playing on playgrounds during a conversation with neighbors.
The most striking accent on the landscaping area is a cascade of playgrounds and sports grounds for children of different ages stretching from one tower to another, which can be accessed from anywhere in the residential complex. A soft coating of colored rubber crumbs interspersed with curved islands of landscaping, together with the located play equipment made of environmentally friendly wood, turns the space of sports, and play areas into a full-fledged multifunctional "childhood factory" where every child will find a pastime to his liking.
The territory of the forest park and the embankment by the river with residential buildings is connected by a landscape ramp with bright flower beds, decorative lighting, and a viewing platform with a recreation area with a shade canopy. The landscaping of the complex takes into account the seasonal factor: the planting of trees, shrubs and perennials takes place in such a way that, regardless of the time of year, all corners of the residential quarter remain as decorative and bright as possible.
