A large apartment located in one of the club houses occupies half of the floor at once. Despite the impressive area – more than 200 m2 and panoramic glazing, the space lacked daylight: the windows are located only on 2 end sides.
The solution was found quickly – in the center, the designers of the studio designed a spacious hall, decorated grandly, luxuriously and became the semantic and functional core of the apartment.
Immediately opposite the entrance, a huge round mirror of the color of the sea wave attracts attention. "We spent a lot of time searching for a manufacturer who was able to produce a color mirror of the right size," says lead designer Stanislav, "despite the seemingly easy task, not every production has the necessary technical capabilities. The AMMG Architects team not only develops, but also implements projects, so over the years a reliable team of partners has been formed who are able to implement a design idea of almost any complexity.
Nevertheless, if we are talking about Deluxe-class projects, the true value of which lies in individual elaboration, in almost every one of them we have to figure out how to implement this or that idea — otherwise repetitions and self-copying are inevitable; we strive for continuous development and creative discoveries in projects."
To enhance the effect, the mirror was supplemented with background illumination and placed against the background of a wall decorated with dark slatted panels. The architects used another secret in the panels – part of them is a door leading to the laundry room and is practically invisible from the outside. The hall divides the apartment into 2 parts – the left with a living room and a master bedroom unit, and the right with an office and rooms for children. The architects used only natural and valuable materials: the floor is finished with natural marble and oak engineering board, while most of the walls were decorated with wall panels according to an individual project, turning into custom furniture solutions. Stanislav continues: "In the Panorama project, we continued our research into the possibilities of carpentry production. The soloist was an exotic eucalyptus veneer, for which more than 15 tinting samples were made at the factory before they found the right shade. It was shaded with white Calacatta marble and supplemented with copper-tinted panels. At first we wanted to use natural metal, but after calculating the weight, it turned out that the built-in lamps would weigh more than 300 kg each, so copper was replaced with imitation."
Working with light is no less difficult here: for example, the designers found a local glass–blowing factory for the hall, which specially made 27 suspensions on a brass base for the project; each is unique and exists in a single copy. The cornice lighting in the study was supplemented with hanging rings made of brass, in the children's bathroom the theme of the ring was inverted and built into the ceiling, in the main bathroom designer Lee Broom suspensions were used. Factory furniture and decorative light are not inferior in terms of custom positions – we chose top Italian and Spanish factories that have proven themselves with impeccable quality and recognizable design.
Special attention was paid to bathrooms at the request of clients. The main bathroom is elegant and contrasting – a panel of semi-precious blue agate is emphasized by panels of American walnut on the adjacent wall; the children's bathroom, on the contrary, is soft and feminine, built on shades of beige porcelain stoneware and complemented with brushed copper. Elegant details are added by faucets of designer brands Gessi and Fantini.
