RESIDENCE IN NOVAHOVO VILLAGE
The interiors of a country house designed for a large family, we decorated solemnly and ceremoniously. The main wish of the customers was to create a spectacular and status space, respectable in the public part and comfortable, more intimate in the private. Our workshop designed not only the interiors, but also developed the architecture of the extension – it was necessary to attach a building with a swimming pool, a SPA area and rooms for guests and staff to the original house purchased by the customer with an area of 1,100 sq. m. The total area of the building is more than 1,800 sq. m. it allowed to place everything you need: on the 1st floor of the main building, along the axis with the front hall, a large living room was planned adjacent to the kitchen; opposite, the customer chose a place for a home office.
The second floor was given to living rooms – each of the four bedrooms, including the children's, has its own bathroom and dressing room. A 15-meter–long swimming pool was organized in the annex for effective training, next to a sauna, a hammam and a relaxation room. Above them there is a gym and several guest bedrooms, behind the wall there is a staff block with a kitchen and a bathroom and a separate entrance from the street, so as not to violate the privacy of the owners of the house.
The level of aesthetics and status of the residence is evident immediately from the entrance. In the center of the spacious hall, guests are greeted by a decorative table on a gilded ball, as a symbol of well-being and harmony. On the right, a luxurious staircase decorated with black marble Black Marquina leads to the second floor; the balustrade made of glass in a brass frame, made according to sketches by AMMG Architects, gives it an author's appearance and elegance. The composition is completed by a carved marble pattern on the floor, which is repeated in the form of a suspended ceiling with laconic plaster stucco and LED cornice lighting.
The living room is located 3 steps lower relative to the hall, and therefore we framed the improvised gallery with a balustrade in the same style as the design of the main staircase. This technique allows us to stylistically combine different areas of a large house, so we often use it in our interiors. The central axis from the hall continues further and is crowned with a large-scale fireplace with panoramic windows on each side of it. The stone portal of the fireplace is decorated with a marble panel on top with a stone layout called "butterfly", when 2 symmetrical stone cuts seem to unfold relative to the center and the pattern acquires a characteristic character. In the fireplace area, we have provided 2 designer Minotti sofas, and in the center of the living room is decorated with an incredible handmade chandelier from Portuguese masters of the Serip brand. The palette of materials is wide – there is onyx with lighting, and artistic parquet, and slightly gilded boiserie on the walls – but all together it adds up to a stylistically subtle and harmonious composition in the Art Deco style.
When developing the design of the master bedroom, we faced an interesting task. Designers often have to solve the problem of lack of space in the room – here was the opposite problem. According to the house plan, the bedroom was allocated almost 60 sq. m., and a traditional set of beds with bedside tables would look small and uncomfortable. We divided the room with a partition made of brass profiles with embossed glass and organized a make-up area on the back side of the bed; thus, we zoned the room, separated the entrances to the dressing room and bathroom and made the space large-scale for a person. In addition, the author's design of the partition gave character and individuality to the room; we supported the brass theme in the dissections between the alcantara panels at the head of the bed, also custom-made.
The warm shade of metal continues in the master bathroom. The brass profiles between the wooden panels echo the handles on the bedside table from Oasis, supported by fittings of faucets and a neoclassical chandelier. A free–standing oval-shaped bathtub was installed near the large window, opposite there were 2 sinks for the convenience of both owners. There is a marble mosaic on the floor, a subtle pattern is combined with plaster panels on the walls, which stand out thanks to the illumination from below.
We decorated the pool in a light and airy neoclassical style. To give the long room the right proportions, we divided the ceiling into 3 sections with false beams, placing them perpendicular to the longitudinal walls. Elegant arches were designed between the beams, the radius of which is emphasized by warm lighting and integrated steel profiles. At the end window in the extreme module, a composition of glass beads-lamps was hung, which resembles either summer rain or a waterfall filling the pool with water drops. The pool bowl was decorated with mosaics from the limited Sic is collection, the wall opposite the window was decorated with small–format ceramics with a pattern also resembling a waterfall. The side walls serve as a neutral background and are only slightly decorated with handmade plaster stucco; Murano glass wall sconces attract attention on improvised pilasters. A lounge area with sun loungers surrounded by greenery and reminiscent of tropical beaches was arranged near the window; from there you can go out onto the summer veranda and enjoy relaxing in the rays of the summer sun.
